Andrzej Grabiec

Whether he is Performing, conducting or teaching, Andrzej Grabiec has shared his love of music to the global community.

Maestro Grabiec entered the musical field completely by accident.  His story is of serendipity at its best.  As a young boy his mother took him to his local Polish elementary school to register him for schooling as was customary in those times.  When the young boy and his mother approached the school it was under renovation.  They entered through a side door and proceeded to what appeared to be the administrative offices.  His mother was shocked to hear that her son needed to first take "a test" and the determine what instrument her son wanted to play before he was allowed to register for school.  It turned out his mother took him to the wrong office as the music school shared facilities with the "regular" elementary school.  Despite the initial shock Andrzej's parents decided to let him proceed with the entry music test.  His musical testing score was off the charts and thus began young Andrzej's journey to becoming a multiple prize winning violinist, conductor and beloved professor.
